I was in an auto accident where we were slammed into in the rear end while sitting at a red light. The other driver was drunk and tried to run, but was caught.
Our auto only sustained $600 in damages as the bumper was destroyed, his car was totaled as the front end was smashed fully. He hit us at an estimated spped of 25 mph. We went to hospital, there was three of us. We were reffered to physical therapy at chiropracter. The doctor never told us what charges were pilling up. We had adjustments and PT massage therapy etc. We were injured and did need the treatment. Now we get the bill for all three of us and it totals $15000!!!! I was guessing maybe $4-$5,000. Well you guessed it, the fault insurance co does not want to pay the medical. Can we ask that they reduse the medical or will the adjuster do this for us? I agree the charges were excessive but we had no idea. They were charging $200+ per person, per visit, plus this and that.
I have had my gallbladder out, I am on co -dryamol but they dont seem to be that great at relief, I cant take ibuprofen etc any ideas? I think i am justbeing desperate now, of course I expected some pain , but for how long? anyone else had this done?

I did have an epidural, about 5 monutes before they decided to do a c-section, so it was really pointless. The pain is not in the same spot that they put the needle in.

I was treated right after the accident for whiplash. It’s in my medical records but then was unable to go to treatment for some time because of other problems but injury got worse now the chiropractor won’t work on me because he says the insurance company won’t usually pay after this time loss. Also the auto insurance company won’t preauthorize treatment and I can’t afford the $30 a visit co-pay required for using my health insurance. I’m on Social Security.
